1846 (2 Oct.) a large solicitor's envelope to Monmouth bearing DA-DL horizontal maximum strip of twelve plus CI; the stamps are in a pale shade and the margins generally good but the strip of cut into DI-DJ at top and DB at foot, CI with large to enormous margins. each stamp tied by "701" numeral of Shepton Mallet with the despatch c.d.s. alongside and the arrival c.d.s. on the reverse.
