2d. blue, intermediate impression, exceptional vertical pair with wide sheet margin at right [8-12], tied barred ovals on 1850 (9 Jan.) cover from Port Louis to Bordeaux sent aboard "Benares" via Aden, G.P.O. despatch datestamp on flap; corner of [8] stamp folded when dumb oval cancellation applied, the stamps have been removed, pressed and treated to reduce staining and replaced. A rare cover. Signed Calves and with B.P.A. Certificate (1996). S.G. 38
