1857 (2 July) entire from Cape Town to London, rated "1/-" and bearing 1855 white paper 4d. blue with good to very large margins and clearly cancelled and tied, the reverse showing Cape Town and a fine strike of the very rare "cape-packet/bristol" datestamp (4.9) partially overstruck by arrival datestamp (5.9). Carried on the last voyage of the W.S. Lindsay Line and the last recorded date of the Cape Packet Bristol datestamp of which just nine examples are recorded
