Irving Howbert, 1846-1934, President of the First National Bank of Colorado Springs. One of the organisers of the Colorado Midland Railroad. State Senator in 1882. Frank Peck worked in Leadville gaining experience in the mining industry. Settled in Colorado Springs during the Cripple Creek rush and helped organise the Portland Mining Co. to become one of the well known Cripple Creek millionaires. Owned the Hillside on Gold Hill and Little Mary, and Ocean Wave on Battle mountain. VF.
