Great Britain: Newport Gas Light Company, Isle of Wight, £50 share, 18[23], #20 of only 320 issued, black printing, on vellum, red seal (oxidised). Formed in 1823 with works at Pan Bridge. Decommissioned following the building of the new gas works in 1851/2. Nationalised in 1949 to become part of the Southern Gas Board. F-VF and rare.
