Arms of Great Britain, Cape Colony, The Duke of Abercorn and The Duke of Fife in each corner, black, pink underprint, perforated cancelled. From the third issue when the capital was increased from £2.5 million to £3.5 million. James Rochfort Maguire, 1855 - 1925, Imperialist and Irish Nationalist politician, friend and associate of Cecil Rhodes and one of the three signatories to the original British South Africa Copany concession.
