Mr R Clark and Mr T Restell, of 447, The Strand, Designers and Inventors exhibited: 'Lamps and Gas burners; New Locks; Railway passengers' communications; a new principle in clockwork; and a gravitating clock without a pendulum.' The Official jury Report identifies the first two items to be the reason for this prize medal.
