Originally formed in 1934 but incorporated in 1937, was soon operating one flight per day between St.Petersburg and Jacksonville carrying mail and passengers. By 1938 was flying between Daytona Beach and Miami and also Jacksonville to New Orleans. Awarded lucrative New York - Florida route in 1944 to become a major airline. Purchased by PanAm in 1980. VF.
