Doble-Detroit Steam Motors Co., Delaware, $10 shares, 19[18], #917, winged wheel and allegorical figure at top, black and gold, gold seal. Abner Doble made his first steam car before the age of 20. He sold his Abner Doble Motor Vehicle Company to General Engineering to make his Model C and initial orders were huge but were shut down by the government steel restrictions for the war effort. Doble quickly reorganised as this company and a few hundred cars were made before the company was again reorganised as Doble Steam Motors of California. VF and scarce.
