Devereaux, 1832-1886, civil engineer and railroad manager. Union Colonel, rising to General during the Civil War in charge of railroads in Virginia. President of several railroads in Cleveland including Lake Shore & Michigan Southern and Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati & Indianapolis Railroad. He built a house in Euclid Avenue (Millionaires Row) whose residents included John D. Rockefeller until 1884. EF.
