Hong Kong and Macao Japanese Occupation of Hong Kong: 1945 (26 Jun.) an agreement for sale and purchase of a property located at 4 Leung Fai Terrace, Mid-level West, Hong Kong, which involving three sellers and two buyers, with their photo and signature seal on the agreement, value of consideration is Japanese Military Yen 1,490,000.00 together with 1944 100y. "Mount Fuji" revenue stamp issued by Government Headquarter of the Hong Kong Occupied Region in complete sheet of fifty on page, showing the signature seals of the buyers and sellers. On 1 June 1943 the yen became the only legal tender in Hong Kong, after the surrender of Imperial Japan was announced by Japanese Emperor Hirohito on August 15 and formally signed on 2 September 1945, the Japanese Ministry of Finance announced that all military yen become void on 6 September 1945.
