Archbishop Hrotheweard (c. 919-925), Penny, 'St Peter Coinage', Sword type, Jórvík [York], 1.11g, 6h, SCIIE | TIIIO in two lines, divided by sword right, + to right, pellets to left, rev. +ERIVIITOI, voided hammer upright, pellet in head, bars beside (SCBI 4 [Copenhagen], 591, same dies; N.556; Spink 1015), a delightful coin with a pleasing old cabinet tone across a full flan, the central devices in high relief, extremely fine or very near so, rare, especially so in this condition
