1860 (Sept.?) envelope to London, showing fine Crowned circle "paid/at/st vincent" with red crayon "5" alongside, showing light arrival c.d.s. with despatch d.s. on reverse; also 1875 6d. deep blue green with part strike of the Crowned circle

Note: This cover is used in the first "provisional" period between the Spring of 1860, when St. Vincent took control of its own Post Office, and 1t May 1861 when the first adhesives were issued. Under the Act of 14th June 1860 the Colony was authorised to retain 1d. on a half ounce letter.
