1796 (30 May) entire letter (faults) to Yorkshire, rated "10", showing curved "portsmouth/ship-lre" with manuscript notation "Prisoner, Particular letter, St. Lucia, Duke of Clarence" at left; 1845 (13 May) entire letter to London, rated "1/-" and showing, on reverse across join, St. Lucia double-arc d.s.; also 1824 (14 July) entire letter in French from London to St. Lucia, marked "H.M.S. Frolic" in red ink, rated "2/2" and showing despatch c.d.s. on reverse, plus 1839 (4 Feb.) Order in Council of Queen Victoria, declaring that the Colony's Militia should only assemble for parade and other duties, if so ordered by the colony's Governor
