1881 (15 Apr.) envelope to Barbados, bearing 4d. orange-yellow cancelled and just tied by "A09" obliterator, showing red crayon "4", blue crayon "1" and despatch c.d.s. in opposite corner with, on reverse, light arrival datestamp (19.4); the envelope with some minor faults otherwise fine. A scarce interim period non-UPU cover (although Nevis became a UPU member on 1 July 1879, Barbados did not join until 1 September 1881)
