Sining: 1948 (9 Apr.) envelope to Longwu, Tongren for relay to Songpan in Szechwan bearing Sun Yat Sen $5000 brown tied by Sining type 6, Chinese/English c.d.s. with a second strike alongside; without transit or arrival c.d.s. but with the original merchant's letter. A few worm holes at top and glue stains around the adhesive. All towns are in Tibetan regions, an unusual destination. Photo
