Luding: 1948 (14 June) envelope registered to Kangding bearing, on the reverse, Sun Yat Sen $15,000 franking tied by fine strikes of Luding type 6.2 dotted c.d.s. (some adhesives partly covers by the remnants of the registration slip), the address side with further despatch and Kangding arrival (15.6). There is a crease to one side of the envelope. An attractive cover paying postage $5000 and registration $10,000. Photo

Luding is by the Dadu River, a cultural divide of the Chinese and Tibetan regions and the gateway to Tatinlu
