1911 (11 Mar.) and attempted around-the-world cover from Germany which included many Chinese and Tibetan postmarks. Sent from Frankfurt (20pf. franking) to India, Lhasa, Peking and onwards, the reverse includes postmarks of Calcutta (6.4), Yatung (6.4), Gyantse and Lhasa type C3 c.d.s., Yatung - Tibet/via Siliguri (6.5), bilingual Peking (8.6) thence Nagasaki, Sydney and others; postage due was applied in India. Some creasing and soiling. Believed to be one of only three covers which made the trans-Himalayan round trip passing through both Gyantse and Yatung exchange offices. Photo


1911年3月11日嘗試從德國寄往世界各地信封, 封上蓋了不少郵戳, 其中包括許多中國和西藏郵戳. 此封從法蘭克福 (20pf. 郵資) 寄至印度, 拉薩, 北京及以後, 封背蓋有包括加爾各答郵戳 (6.4) , 亞東 (6.4), 江孜和拉薩C3型日戳, 亞東-西藏/西里古里 (6.5), 雙語北京日戳 (8.6), 之後經長崎, 悉尼等; 應付郵費適用於印度. 封有些摺痕和弄髒. 相信是僅有類似的三個信封之一, 此封更跨越喜馬拉雅往返經過江孜和亞東的郵政交換局. 罕見.
