A group of items with air mail envelope to Blackpool bearing a good strike of the type H handstamp "british mount everest/expedition 1953/camp" struck on rose-red; an envelope to Australia with endorsement, "Brit Mt Everest Exped 1953/As from Camp VIII on South Col (26,000 ft) South Peak of Everest (28,600 ft) reached at 1.20pm on 26th May 1953/ 28.5.53 John Hunt" with Indian stamps cancelled Indian Embassy Nepal c.d.s. (7.6); India Mount Everest f.d.c. which has been signed by Ed. Hillary, a special New Zealand $5 banknote signed by Ed Hillary; a small piece bearing a fine strike of Lhassa type B-1 c.d.s. struck in violet on the occasion of the conquest of Everest (possibly only 4 known); there is also a cover from the 1939 expedition bearing a fine strike of "Munchener/sikkim-himalaya-expedition 1939/c.o. postmaster p.o. gangtok - sikkim/Hauptlager Green Lake 4860m" in purple and a few other items. A good group.
