Kuti Court: 1903 (9 Jan.) local envelope from the Kuti Court to Kathmandu, tied by the official seal of the court in black, this was carried by Nepalese couriers to the nearby town of Tatapani from where it was posted free of charge, also bears the Tatapani postmaster's seal and faint Kathmandu arrival. Nepal gained extra-territoriality in the Tibetan border towns of Khasa, Kuti and Kerong with their own courts. Court mail was carried by courier to the nearby Nepali town and mailed through the post with free-franking rights
