Plate 62: ME-NF block of four, touched or cut into at places, tied by four blue "derby/de 21/1845/a" datestamps to large entire letter to Ashby-de-la-Zouch dated 20 Dec. 1845; an absent portion of the front of the entire (not affecting the area of the address or stamps) has been neatly replaced, but most attractive and an extraordinary and highly important rarity. Believed to be the only recorded block of four 1d. reds on cover with blue circular date stamp cancellations. Photo
