GB good to enormous margins and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at upper left, tied by a red Maltese Cross cancellation in a pinkish shade, to entire letter to Ashby-de-la-Zouch dated 10 Feb. 1841 (first Official day of use of the black Maltese Cross) with Burton-on-Trent datestamp in the same colour as the Cross on reverse; fine and an interesting entire which comprises four separately written letters with interesting contents mostly referring to the Burton and Moira Canal ".... we had abandoned all idea of going to Parliament for the Burton & Moira Canal this session....", etc. Photo
