1871 (Apr.) entire letter carried privately to St. Thomas whence forwarded by Lamb & Co. with their cachet in red on face and reverse, 1873 front bearing 1873 1/- green Plate 7 cancelled with "89" duplex and 1875 front bearing 1d. cancelled "25", all three from London to Belize showing arrival datestamp (BSC2) on face

Note: The first with contents lobbying support to influence the route of the next mail contract. The writer favoured the route via New Orleans instead of the route via Jamaica. In 1872 the RMSP contract was renewed when a monthly service was entered into between Belize and Jamaica
