Douglas Cecil Goodrich was born on 21 May 1918 and was an Apprentice at Halton. He first served as a Leading Aircraftman, being advanced Acting Pilot Officer in the Technical Branch in November 1941. Advanced Pilot Officer, he earned a brace of 'mentions' during the Second World War (London Gazette 8 June 1944, & 14 June 1945, refers). Goodrich was seconded to the Royal Pakistan Air Force from August 1947. Advanced Squadron Leader in July 1952, he was made Wing Commander in July 1958 and Group Captain in January 1965. Having earned his C.B.E., Goodrich retired on 21 May 1973; sold with copied research.
