Stuart Leslie Harold Parham was born at Sidcup, Kent on 6 April 1896 and was a a storekeeper upon his enlistment in the Royal West Kent Regiment on 7 September 1914. He served in France with the 7th Battalion from 26 July 1915 and was subsequently wounded in action via a gunshot wound to the left arm on 4 July 1916. Posted to the Command Depot, Tipperary in January 1917, he was subsequently discharged with a Silver War Badge; sold together with copied research.

Parham served with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War as a Flight Sergeant (354379) and was commissioned Flight Lieutenant (111132). He emigrated to Kenya where he worked in the Public Works Department and later the Supplies and Transport Department (earning the Coronation 1953 Medal). He died in 1964 at Twickenham, Middlesex.
