Edward Charles Taylor was born in 1892, the son of Donald and Isabella, of 24 George Road, Farncombe, Godalming. He landed in France with the 17th Field Company, Royal Engineers on 18 August 1914 and was killed in action on 23 September 1914. Taylor was 22 years old and is buried in the Vauxbuin French National Cemetery; sold together with named box of issue for Medal, British War Medal forwarding note, dated 13 April 1921 and forwarding note for his Princess Mary Christmas tin 1914.
