(x) Three: Constable S. G. Lavery, Ulster Special Constabulary, who received a Chief Superintendent's Recognition Certificate for his service on 22 October 2003

Jubilee 2002, in its card box of issue; Special Constabulary Long Service Medal, E.II.R., 'Ulster' reverse (R/Const S G Lavery), in its Royal Mint box of issue and outer card box, this inscribed 'A.BW. R/Con S. G. Lavery. R12074 'B' Division (Woodbourne)'; Royal Ulster Constabulary Service Medal, E.II.R., 1st type riband (R/Const S G Lavery), in its Royal Mint box of issue and outer card box, this inscribed 'RLSM 3/99 R/Const S G Lavery R12074 Craigavon J (struck out) G', extremely fine (3)

Stephen George Lavery served in the Royal Ulster Constabulary from 9 July 1984-3 November 2001 and then in the Police Service of Northern Ireland from 4 November 2001-4 December 2005. During this time he served with 'B' Division in West Belfast, operating on the Springhill Road and Grosvenor and Anderson town whilst also in a 'shadow DMSU' - formerly the Special Patrol Unit. An image of rioting includes a hand-written note stating:

'I am just out of this shot behind checkboxes. The guy with black hair falling is Sean Dowles. He was killed here by a plastic bullet after trying to hit me over the head.'
