George W. Cooper is confirmed as entitled to a Pair for his Great War service, part of it spent as a Sapper with the Inland Water Transport of the Royal Engineers. He returned to Hitchin in Hertfordshire and married Ena W. Day in April 1918, before rendering considerable service with the Hitchin St John Ambulance Brigade; sold with copied MIC.
