French Post Office: 1896 (13 Nov.) part of wrapper to Nottingham bearing first issue 1c. blue tied by the 29mm double-circle "chinkiang/postal service" c.d.s. with French "Chine" 5c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. (14.11) with a fragment of the sender's label alongside. The address panel has been affixed to blue card (magazine cover?) which is tied by the despatch c.d.s.; there is a vertical fold. Unusual and paying the 5c. newspaper rate. Photo
