1902 (11 Jan.) small envelope from Rufisqe to Orthez, with "A" in circle handstamp and endorsed Affranchie en Numeraire with Senegal/Rufisque datestamp of 11 Jan. alongside, the letter was held at the Post Office for one week and eventually a 5c. was placed over the "A" in circle marking and cancelled Rufisque/Senegal (18.1); fine and most unusual usage. One of only three such covers recorded
