On 13 September the seaplane of the "Ile de France", soon after taking off, had a magneto problem and was forced down on a rough sea not far from the Scilly Isles. The aircraft was drifting in the Channel and towed by a ship to Brest after having been found by fishermen. The mail and the fliers landed in Great Britain and the mail was forwarded to Paris on the 15h.
