1885 (22 Jan.) envelope (edge faults) ex the Orde correspondence to England, marked "On Active service, no stamps obtainable" with large Korti Star and Crescent datestamp, "2½" handstamp and Dursley datestamp, all on face, the letter headed "Kerf-El-Hamdab" includes "We are to go on the first boats of the Nile Column" and "I have luckily got 2 pairs of moccasins from the voyageurs" referring to the Canadian boatmen; edge faults though an interesting item.
