(Pick 13As, TBB B114as, Aspen unlisted), This is the Banknote Book plate note and ex-David Saul Collection, Spink 2013. Perforated, in PMG holder 64 Choice Uncirculated and possibly unique. On the departure of John Trimingham in 1943 it was proposed to replace him with R.A.Kelly (who was based in London at the time) instead of the expected promotion of Gerald Young. Accordingly Kelly signed the notes for the printers Bradbury Wilkinson; the 10/- and £1 were produced prior to the expected issue of currency of 1943. Sadly Kelly died before he could take up the post and the notes were scrapped. With this exception, no other examples are believed extant - consequently excessively rare and desirable
