1845 (5 Nov.) entire, with disinfection slits, from Mauritius to Bordeaux and showing, on reverse, "mauritius/post office" double-ring d.s. in red, manuscript "Paid 1/8", very fine "trincomalee/returned for postage" c.d.s. for 22 November (deleted) and very fine "trincomalee/steamer letter" c.d.s. for 23 November (month inverted), Alexandria transit c.d.s. for 7 January, large part circular "purife au lazaret/malte" c.d.s. and arrival datestamp for 18 January; the reverse with wax seal missing.
