(x) Edward IV, first reign (1461-70), Rose Noble or Ryal, light coinage, type VIII, York, 7.68g, King standing in ship, holding sword and shield, e in waves, rev. i.m. lis, ihc * avt' transienns per medivm illorvm ibat, rose in centre of floriated cross, large fleurs in spandrels, trefoil stops (Schneider I -; N.1553; S.1957), small crack through shield but a strong strike on a full flan, very fine, neither issue nor legend variety present in Schneider's corpus
