Belgae, uninscribed coinage (c. 55-45 BC), gold Quarter-Stater, "Huxtable’s Eagles" type, 1.30g, cruciform spiral with zoomorphic terminals, various designs in angles, rev. abstract horse left, sun above, ring pellet below (VA 256; BMC 542-43; DK 270; S.48; ABC 782), a trace of a striking split to flan, otherwise attractively well-centred, good very fine thus and extremely rare, with perhaps only a dozen other examples known
