(x) Government of Jamaica, ten Shillings 1940, serial number C/11 43225, blue, orange and pink, king George VI at left, reverse coat of arms, also The Bahamas Government, 4 Shillings ND (1963), also Canada, $2 1937, $11935, 1937, also Gibraltar, 10 shillings 1942,
(Pick 38b, 13d), VF, VF VF, GF, GVF, VF Jamaica 10 Shillings part of the shipment aboard SS Politician, who ran aground on the Outer Hebrides in February 1940 carrying whisky and banknotes bound for Jamaica. Some banknotes were salvaged by locals and made their way into circulation, prompting their recall and demonetisation. This note appears unused but the paper fibres shows evidence of having been in the water, still an attractive note with an interesting history. (6)
