(x) Imperial Bank of Canada, counterfeit $100, 2 January 1917, serial number 20731, black and green, arms at centre,
(Charlton 375-16-24C), 'COUNTERFEIT' stamp across obverse and reverse, 'VOID' perforated, good very fine. During the Great War, Germany created these counterfeit bills in the hope of disrupting the Canadian finance system: these bills were circulated in the Middle East hence they all have the stamp of the Iranian Imperial Bank of Resht.
