1837 (27 June) LS written from Kensington Palace to Queen Maria Teresa, second wife of the King announcing her ascension to the throne of the United Kingdom and to "renew the credentials" of Mr. William Temple as Extraordinary Envoy and Minister Plenipotentiary. Signed "Victoria R" on mourning paper folded in the usual manner to a thin rectangle and sealed in black wax bearing the Queen's crest and attaching black silk ribbon to front and back. Fine. Photo
