Noël Coward
c.1965 TLS on Les Avants sur Montreux headed notepaper to "George" remarking on the recipient's decision to move to Tahiti - "I think you've made an appalling choice ... I'd rather see Philadelphia than the spots you're taking in". Coward remembers meeting "Judy in London [who] came to the party with her new husband, Mark Heron", commenting on Judy Garland, Coward remarks "She is becoming orchidaceous. I myself regard her as divine, sui generis, and perilously perishable - to be treasured for as long as we have her". Signed "Noel". Fine. Photo
