Commissioners for Sale of Land
1652 (27 October) a contemporary copy of a resolution by the Commissioners for removing obstructions, in lands and estates forfeited to the Commonwealth for treason, to be sold for the use of the Navy. Subscribed by Robert Aldworth, John Barners, Francis Mussended and William Roberts. Written in the same hand, on paper folded in the usual manner bearing a filing endorsement to the reverse. Paper frayed at ages with some soiling. The signatures copied here are given as "John Barners", "Ro: Aldworth", "William Roberts", "Fran: Mussoden".

This resolution was written early in the life of the Obstructions Commissioners and documents its early methods of securing land to raise funds for the forces.
