Great Britain: Theatre Royal Cinema (Manchester) Ltd., 12½% Cumulative Participating Preference shares, 19[22], #451, attractive mauve printing. The original theatre was built in 1845 following the destruction of the previous building by fire. It operated as a theatre under various owners until 1922 when it was acquired by this company and converted to cinema use by removal of the stage and one of the balconies. The cinema lasted until 1972 and from then it has been used as a Bingo hall, a night club and for a short time as a theatre again. We understand the building is now owned by Edwardian Hotels group and currently unoccupied. VF and rare.
