Great Britain: Guest's Leigh & Bedford Brewing & Malting Coy Ltd., £5 share, 18[79], #113, signed by Richard Guest as director and made out to him as shareholder. Founded in 1801 in Leigh, Lancashire. Incorporated as the Bedford Brewing and Malting Company Limited in 1866 to acquire the brewery of Richard Guest. Name changed to this around 1879. There was obviously a dispute between Guest and the company as he was charged with blowing off the brewery gates with dynamite in 1879 over a right of way. We assume the company was dissolved shortly afterwards! EF and scarce.
