Ltd., certificate for 20 shares, issued by the British South Africa Company, [1893], signed by Alfred Beit as director, ornate border with steam train at bottom, wagons left, natives right, coat of arms at top, brown printing with yellow, underprint, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson. Alfred Beit (1853-1906 ), a founder of the modern diamond industry along with his friend Cecil Rhodes. Life Governor of De Beers. Later opening up the Rand with the great Chartered Company. F-VF and a scarce signature.
