1860 (2 Feb.) entire from Madras to Mauritius, marked "per Nonparwil", variously rated and showing, on reverse, badly worn "jaffna/post-not-paid" c.d.s. for 27 March (Oxley Type 13, Proud Type UP2 - the only recorded date), "jaffna/ship letter" c.d.s. in red for 27 March (Oxley Type 16, Proud Type SL1 - latest recorded date), an oily strike applied in error and crossed through which in the process tore the paper, and again in black plus Crowned arrival datestamp.
