France: 1894 (5 Aug.) opened-out envelope to London bearing, on the reverse, clean-cut perf.11½ 3ca. mauve tied by Tientsin seal type IX in black and the Customs Tientsin c.d.s. with Customs Shanghai (10.8), London arrival (15.9) alongside and paper covered wax seal; the address side with France 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. and Paris transit; part of the address has been obscured and repairs made where the envelope was roughly opened.
