The Japanese Katana sword presented by Vice-Admiral Teczo Hara, Japanese Navy to Brigadier J. A. Salomons, Indian Army, upon the surrender of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands at Port Blair in October 1945

Standard-issue Japanese Naval Katana of the Kai-Gunto pattern, with its original scabbard, sword knot and leather cover, signs of wear and use overall, very fine

Teczo Hara was tried for his crimes, namely killing natives of the Andaman Islands, at Singapore. He was hanged on 3 April 1946.
