10fr. on 90c. red and 10fr. on 1fr.50c. blue, vertical pairs from the bottom of the sheet exhibiting the spaced surcharge variety at top se-tenant with the regular surcharge at base, "Berthelot" unmounted mint showing a handstamp on reverse at base of an Italian philatelic society of Rome, "Pasteur" slightly hinged at top. A spectacular and very rare set, further enhanced by the sheet margin. "Pasteur" accompanied by B. Behr certificate (1994, described as "superbe") and signed by Serrane. Spink Maury 3d, 4b; €48,500+.
