1870 "Bordeaux" Issue
20c. blue, type I, report I, horizontal pair, pastel shade, complete margins at top, being large in other respects, pastel shade, paying the single rate up to 10 grams on envelope to Marseilles, softly tied by anchor lozenges with octagonal "constantinople/p. fr. u n. 2" (Salles fig. 882/2) dated 11 January 1871, with red framed "Paquebots/De La/Méditerranée" handstamp and framed "PD" in black, carried by the "Tibre" to Marseilles, where it received the arrival c.d.s. on back.
