1853-60 Imperforate "Empire" Issue
1c. to 80c., balance of the collection, 249 stamps, containing six 1c. including a single from the right of the sheet with red c.d.s., fifteen 5c. green including three used pairs- vertical, horizontal and a pair on cover to Auxerre, twenty eight 10c bistre including used singles with an assortment of obliterations, also many singles and pairs on cover with various markings and cancellations, over sixty examples of the 20c. blue including a block of four on cover and twenty two other covers and many other singles, 20c. on rose, 40c. orange- thirteen examples- including a pair on cover to Roanne, Loire and finally eighteen 80c. carmine with various cancellations and markings and four on cover. An impressive and fascinating selection, viewing recommended.
